Why it exists
A map should not become a screenshot just because it needs to leave the GIS team.
Desktop GIS is powerful, but it is a poor delivery format. Static exports lose the attributes, scale, filters and context that made the map useful. Full web-GIS platforms preserve those things, but often introduce an administrative project of their own.
SpatialDrop keeps the useful middle: real layers, real feature information, deliberate styling and interactive analysis, delivered through a link that is straightforward for everyone else.

Keep source layers reusable, then arrange and style them differently in saved maps.

Data in and out

CSV, Excel, GeoJSON, KML, GPX, Shapefile, GeoPackage and zipped ESRI File Geodatabases. Shared data can be exported to common GIS and tabular formats where access permits.
Access and control
Share deliberately.
Links are unlisted by default. Publishers can revoke access, and Pro links can use passwords and expiry dates. Organisation permissions are enforced at the data layer, not only hidden in the interface.
